How many pallets fit in a 53' trailer?
26 standard 48x40 pallets loaded straight. Turn them all and you get 30, as long as the inside width is at least 96 in and nothing overhangs.

FAQ
Is pinwheel worth it? It gets 28, only 2 more than straight, and it's slower to load. Turning every pallet usually beats it.
Why can't I get 30? Turned pallets need at least 96 in of inside width with no overhang.
